"Divine."

The stallion snorts in foolish amusement, though beneath the surface of his false benevolence, a seed of treacherous doubt begins to germinate. If these misgivings were not mastered, they would surely destroy Adrian's stoic resistance. He turns his gaze away from Shazaam for a bit and stares into space. Not staring vacantly but rather at the stippled gathering of creatures, mostly horses. He sees a wolf running about, but his concentration never does follow it. Instead, the auburn shaded thoroughbred calculates what may possibly happen in the future. Stopping his thought-path midstream and throwing his reserved gaze back upon the 'enemy', the dark russet tosses him a bone to chew on.

"They may have wanted this, but, remember, evils are always creatures of opportunity. And I see you are desperate for a resolution. Perhaps if you please them, they will reconsider."

Again Adrian pushes this upon Shazaam, as if trying to suck something out of him. Stealing the other's hope was one victory the Evil king did not even know he had achieved. Subliminally, the words spoke for themselves: "Sell out, Shazaam, sell out to evil and regain your people's peace." The rebel's self-assured expression also seemed to communicate without the aid of direct words. The metaphorically raised eyebrow, the subtle transfer of weight from hind hooves to fore hooves, the faint outline of an all too familiar mischievious grin. "No shame." It said, and it made Adrian appear younger than he actually is. Not quite innocent, but purely youthful and radiant. Amorally radiant as strange as that seems.

"But it would have to be good."

Even after this aethetically engaging verbal offering, the mahogany scapegrace stumbles over something else. Upon the mention of offspring, his mind wanders to Toby and Firestorm, his own progeny, now certainly grown and fully independent. He never brought himself to know them better. It was his fault in the first place, but that was so long ago. He had Navy now, but it appeared as if she was leaving him too. The erratic stallion never could keep the mares for long. Things never were the same when Devil's Tempest left him for that other freak show. What was his name.. something Spanish.. who cares. Rigidly, the withstanding bay maintains his passive aggressive attitude and the accompanying expression. He would not allow Shazaam to realise his sorrow. And more importantly, he would never allow himself to be mocked.

"Your parallel is faulty. The evils are not children, they are intelligent individuals. They are not blind.-" ("Though, theoretically, I may be blind in one eye." He adds mentally to himself.) "-Freedom is what they needed, and this is where it brought them."

Then for no discernable reason, Adrian takes another step forward. He now speaks in a voice much more devious than before.

"You have a son, right? Daughter too? You must be proud. But in actuality, it must be terrible for them.. their father being the king and all. They must be pressured. Are they not? I wonder.. how far you would go to win back that normalcy you speak of. Where is Notorious Reputation, by the way? Your son. His name is Hexed, no?"
