Kevin here, I am posting this with Daniel's permission;

I think that it is important to understand that there is a difference
between God's relative perspective
and ours as it relates to "time".  But God is a "prisoner" (for lack of a
better desciptive term) of NOW, just as we are.  God is not bound by the
limits of our space time, but that really means to say that time has existed
eternally.  Let's look at a diagram to illustrate.

<---Eternity Past---Creation---NOW------Eternity Future--->  God's Time
According to the scriptures the triune Godhead has existed forever.  The
godhead is personal, in other words each individual of the triune Godhead is
unique and distinct.  Each member of the trinity has enjoyed fellowship one
with the other.  Communion and communication is bi-directional and time
dependant.  Time is not created, it is a necessary bi-product of existence.
Even the term BEing means to live NOW.

My son asked me the other day...."How much time did it take for God to
create time?"   Wow.

Creation---NOW------Eternity Future--->  Our Time

Although we each have a different perspective, NOW cannot be escaped.  God
does not exist outside of time.  The bible does not teach that God exists
outside of time.  The belief that God is outside of time is not a biblical
concept but one that was taken from Greek Mythology.  There are a number of
examples where mainstream Christianity has been tainted by a greek mystical
worldview.  Thanks to the likes of Plato, Aristotle and primarily the works
of Augustine, the church has been deceived in believing in a God that more
resembles the beliefs of the Greeks.

The above can be thoroughly substantiated.  I doubt that this is where this
group wants to be headed.  But if you are ready to know who God is as it
realtes to this subject, I can certainly get a whole lot deeper.  This is a
wonderfully exciting topic that answers all kinds of questions as it relates
to God knowing the future,  Predestination and Freewill, fuflfilled and
failed prophecies, and most important understanding the character of God.
This in-turn will reveal that only the literal interpretation of Gen 1 thru
11 can be the only objective and consistent interpretation.

If we learn to handle the scriptures correctly, then we will be in a much
better position to handle science.
