 Oh, true enough - but there are pros and cons. I remember going to Fecamp a few years ago, in the days of Decca, in company with some other Virgo Voyagers. I told my crew to steer 40 degrees off - surprised, he did so. Everyone else was swept past the entrance by the tide. Just the sort of time when GPS/Autohelm is useful.
