Liam (Nialls Dad!) has the photographs of ALKANETS rudder, the stock of which we found to be bent at the point it exited from the blade.
We split the blade, cut off the stock at the point of the bend, inserted an internal sleeve, and welded it back again before re-gluing the blade. (the photos show the sequence)
It did not really improve the weight on the tiller problem, so we made another rudder complete, altering the axis in the blade (as previously described in the forum) which made a dramatic difference.
Congrats on the rugby - I am still in mourning!
