Nick,
This brings me back to my comments when I did own a Trapper
In my opinion, an association to survive in the longer term needs to be properly organised.
I got accused by you-know-who, anon, of being political.
Was not my intention.
An asscoiation needs a committee, not to play at committees, which is some peoples hobby, but to distribute the workload, and give long term stability.
Otherwise it all falls to one or two keen people and they move on...............
A subscription gives a resource to pay for items like websites, newsletters, etc.
When I had a Trapper, I was happy to pay my $25 to join the C&C 27 association, and gained a lot of helpful information.
Follow this route, Nick, and you will have the satisfaction of creating a lasting association; the present system is in danger of fading away, especially attacted by input like this thread.
For what it is worth, I think that this current forum works and is not horrible.
I visit from time to time, despite not owning a Trapper anymore, as there is always something to learn, just as I do to the C&C27 association.
