Hi Brian,

The layout in my Trapper is exactly as you describe the head is on the port side with a hanging locker starboard.I have had the yacht for eighteen months now and have decided not to alter the interior except to spruce it up a bit. Living in the Isle of Man you can appreciate that the sailing is good and not always for the faint hearted.
As regards the mast support it appears to be fine inbetween the two bulkheads you mention.
She sails well to windward but not so good down wind unless there is fifteen to twenty knots. I am not sure if this is me and my crew or just an anomilie with the trapper.
she was built in 1976 and is called Yn Ribbey. she was formerlly named Elsa.
