Well I've cut the hole and fitted one of those circular plastic screw in plate thingies so when it gets back in the water I'll replace the anchor thingy at the pointy end (sorry "Bow", sharp end Bow blunt end Stern, I'm getting there ;)).

All I need now is a long arm.

btw if anyone else has the misfortune to need to cut holes in fibre glass with extremely restricted access I can give the following tips:

First use a 3 mm drill to outline the area to be cut out (using a battery operated screwdriver or hand drill) drilling holes every 1/2 cm or so, next use a flat "wood" drill bit (the 12 mm or more) to make a starter hole, then get a hacksaw attachment for a stanley knife and, this is the important bit, spray wd40 on both sides of it. Then simply saw around the holes repeating the wd40 trick every few holes. The stanley hacksaw attachment makes quick work of the fibre glass.

Amen-Moses
