Hi frank, where you been, we missed you!

I've always felt the main consideration was going to be wear and tear rather than speed but I must admit to being surprised it is such a difference.

That leaves people to consider the cost benefit more clearly. Early replacement of bearings etc or expenditure on folding prop or put up with speed loss.

It takes me around twenty hours to cross the channel from St Mawes, so a ten percent improvement would save me two hours.

Apart from on those longer passages, I don't think I'd really care too much. It's the only time I'm more interested in speed than enjoyment.

Trouble is, as a result of that I'd often use the engine so the benefit would be less.
