Nick,

Richard Swire sent me a picture of his rudder (late 500 or 501) This is much more like a C&C 27 MK III rudder, but still of lower aspect ratio that the MK III, and has a tighter radius at the tip. The MK III 27 has a modified hull, unlike the 501.

All this is because I think that the design could be better and at least three C&C 27 owners in the colonies are making new rudders right now.
