Subject: Rumor is........

that a certain person is up to spreading rumors, AGAIN, that the NRC motors (maybe the R&M motors too-but not sure of them being specifically mentioned) are running an illegal camshaft diameters. Theres a simple solution, put up enough money and we (NRC) can pull it out at the track after a race, so that the journal size can be measured. Realize that this requires removal entire valvetrain and then reassembly, so don't bring chump change! This person has whined and spread the "cheating" rumors long enough! First it was delay boxes, then it was valve angle, then it was C44 fuel, then it was intake modifications, then it was carburetors, whats next? NRC and their Texas Pro Stock customers welcome the chance to disprove this rumor - so bring ample cash and take your pick of which motor you want to inspect the camshaft diameter size on - just beware your gonna be sick if you teardown the one with the diameter thats smaller than 55mm! Or, an alternative would be to quit spreading untrue rumors, apologize and worry about making power. Continuing to bash your competitors (other engine builders)does nothing to improve your respect. Names have been left off purposely, the parties know who they are. If you choose to protest a motor - we will do it in a private area with 1 TPSA representative of your choice to watch the teardown.

[> The only thing I will interject into this post is that the TPSA has a protest procedure in place. You can find all of the details on the TPSA homepage under the "procedure" button. In the event an official protest is lodged, the inspection would NOT occur during the event. The inspection could occur prior to the event (time permitting) or at the conclusion of the event. The camshaft rule in question can be found on the homepage as well under the "rules" button. It reads "55mm maximum camshaft barrel/diameter". If you have any questions regarding policy, click on my initials to email, or give me a call. Thanks, -- DH, 02/24/10 9:58pm

[> nrc motors, why does it matter what size stick you have in it? when the chips are down and the pressure is on, the RM motors flat out out perform the nrc by .05 and 2 mph. Shouldnt you be checking the RM motors? -- Onlooker, 02/24/10 10:24pm

[> "Onlooker" - it you pay really close attention from the fence you will notice the performance level was nearly equal up until the last three races of 2009-the RM cars figured out a little something and did put a nickel or more on those close behind-cudos to them! Surely you are aware theirs a whole lot more to the equation than HP to get one of these cars down the track fast. Most would be happy to have an engine by either builder. -- Step Aside Please, 02/25/10 10:14am

It is small minded to start this bs about being illegal, if the Pigford team had backed up their performance of years end then there probably wouldnt be this much whinning. But since the C&W team was able to match Pigs numbers I guess we dont have enough smarts to do this without cheating. Either shut up or bring money to Dallas to protest & be sure and bring extra cash for side betsbecause I want to clean your ass pockets out. Also if you still think it was a fluke then line up beside & find out

Dw- I think it is safe to assume no one is accusing you of cheating. The issue is if the slips are correct or not. If you can show a .030 light with .98xx 60' then more power to you and your team. Has anyone said you were cheating? In my experience, it is much better to let the car do the talking. "Empty out your ass pocket"? That seems a bit low brow for a family oriented board. As the leader of your team, how do you want fans and family members who read this board to perceive you and your team and this organization?

[> PLEASE, STOP THE WHINNING!!!!!!! -- Observor, 03/ 3/10 5:28pm

I wish everyone would grow up and stop sounding like 3 year olds. TPSA used to just be friendly competition (everyone helped each other), now it sounds like every one is out for blood.
