Subject: Gary, I was contacted about the possibility of a spec head and/or a spec engine program for the TPSA. Personally I think it is a viable option to develop a program for the future but I'm not the man for that job. Jeff Mitchell has tried to get some input and hasn't had much success in getting people to respond to his questions. In my opinion, you need a minimum of eight committed teams to implement a new program.... not 8 that want to be there, or intend to be there, or really try to be there.... but 8 that can and will be at EVERY race. It's hard to get any committments with the current economy, etc. and it doesn't seem that a firm 8 is doable at this time. A bunch of us have stuff sittin' in the shop and want to race but the fact is racing TPSA spoiled us... hard to go index, bracket, or top sportsman after what we became accustomed to the past few years!
In reply to: Winmil Racing (Gary & Steve) 's message, "Has anyone heard about someone puting together a "spec" head deal together for next year? Or is it strictly a rumour? Still trying to figure out what to do next year. Gary" on 07/30/12 8:06am

[> You hit the nail on the head David. I heard that Slick Rick fella wont even go to the racetrack anymore. Heard him tell someone "without TPSA, there's no reason to go to the track" -- LOL, 08/ 2/12 6:49pm
