***Press Release***

NRC and "Slick" Rick McConathy made it official today. TPSA members, for a limited time, can order their latest design cylinder heads that utilize the “mother” casting for the Dart 360’s, and were designed by Slick Rick/NRC specifically to meet the TPSA rules and performance requirements. Designed, CNC’d, and finished in house @ NRC, these heads are better than the current Slick Rick/NRC heads that are on several TPSA front runners, including the current Champ, Larry Pearce’s ride, and offer 1200+ hp potential.

For the past few years, the #1 qualifiers and top of the field performers have had either the custom R-M Darts, or Ricky’s/NRC custom BMF’s. In order to run at or near the front of the pack, a set of these heads was mandatory, but the cost was prohibitive to many teams and folks that were interested in joining the TPSA… and the heads are the key ingredient of horsepower. It’s no secret that the Dictators have lobbied hard for someone to develop a head that was more affordable using the latest technology. Working together with the head committee and DH to fully comply with the TPSA rules, Ricky and NRC began to piece the puzzle together and the result is a work of art! No welding, no weak areas to leak, no elongated head bolt holes or butchered push rod holes, no "gray" areas. Just an amazing piece of work that took many months of development and hard work to produce.

The introductory price for a set of these bad boys is $11,000 complete with all of the “good stuff” and steel T&D rocker arms … ready to bolt on. You read it right, $11k for heads that are capable of producing over 1200hp and ready to bolt on! Ricky said that aluminum rockers would be slightly less and the heads would be available in other stages; ie, heads and valves only, etc. To put this in perspective, a quality set of high end bracket heads with titanium valves & keepers, roller rockers, good springs, etc. come in about $8k… and they don’t come close to offering the potential of 1200hp.

Like all good things in life, this is a limited time offer for TPSA members and is subject to change. The performance industry typically sees a 10% increase in some products around the first of each year and this could impact the price. Better give Ricky a call today @ 713 688 8383 to answer any questions, get all of the tech info, secure a delivery date, and to beat any price increase!

Thanks to Jeff & Jimmy Naiser, "Slick" Rick McConathy, and the staff @ NRC for their support of the TPSA!

Has any one had a dyno session with the new heads? Do they come with any guarantee on horsepower?? How would one know if they were better?

[> Well after a couple of dyno sessions, and a few trips to the racetrack, we are pretty pleased with the new dart head program. I was wondering if Mr. Robert Nickens would like to offer his proffesional opinion on whether or not he thinks they are any good! Cyall in 10 days -- Slick-NRC, 02/22/11 1:38pm

[> Press Release -- Robert Nickens (Really proud for Slick Rick), 02/22/11 4:27pm

In my opinion, the Dart Heads are at least as good as the BMF brand. Heck even Abbott is building Dart's. With an older chasis we were able to get close with the BMF's(done by Slick Rick). With a new chasis we may need a better combonation. Is the Dart head good? You bet they are. Are they Better than BMF's. Pigford the fastest guy in the class last year runs Dart. Are we gonna be monkey see monkey do???????????? Good luck to all !!!!!!!! See ya at Crandall.
