***Desert Thunder Raceway Results***

EXTREME WINNER... Larry Pearce

XTREME RU & BOUNTY HUNTER...Rick Cowger, Team Cowger/Wood

PRO WINNER... Aaron Hubbard

PRO RUNNER UP... Donald Hughes

The fans were treated to some very exciting racing @ Desert Thunder Raceway! In the Xtreme final it was Larry Pearce with a holeshot win over Rick Cowger. Both Teams ran 4.79's in the final with their NRC bullets and Slick Rick Heads. This was the first win for Rick's new SR2 Dart Heads. Pearce also recorded the quickest pass of the event @ 4.7737 in the semi's. The Cowger/Wood Team, with Team O's 2010 bullet in the framerails of their new Cobalt, set the mph mark @ 147.78 in the final.

In the Pro final both competitors were too quick on the draw, but Aaron Hubbard in Ol' Blue took the win over a "redder" Donald Hughes. Et's in the new Pro class were all within .05 from qualifying to eliminations which made for some very close racing.

Thanks to the Farmer family, Tommy Freeman, and the entire staff @ DTR for a great event and for their hospitality. Our thanks also to those awesome West Texas fans that came out to support the TPSA!

Watch for the race results, and points to be posted soon on the website, and if the Pit Pundit rolls in we'll try to get a race report from him.

[> Kevin did in fact complete the programming for Larry's shocks. Truth be told, Merv and Kevin had a lot more to do w/ tuning Larry up than I did. Credit where credit is due. Congrats to Larry on his win by the way. Hoping the bullet hole in my foot will heal by Crandall. LOL -- Boss Hog (self loathing), 03/24/11 10:51am
