I didn't mind the stumbling because he's just coming to grips with the new limbs, but that and the cry of "Nooo" all seemed a bit of tribute to the horror movies of the past - and as we know, Lucas is big in honoring flicks from 50 years ago, (case in point, the ridiculously titled Attack of the Clones).

At any rate, when Lucas begun work on the prequels I always thought that one movie should be solely dedicated to Anakin as the Emperor's apprentice. I thought it should be:

* Episode I: Anakin as a Jedi.
* Episode II: Anakin turning, the movie ending with him joining the Emperor.
* Episode III: Anakin as the Emperor's apprentice.

Moreover, in Episode III he should've probably been in the black suit, although I always thought that - the need for prosthetics, breathing apparatus, etc. - occurred gradually, as opposed to in just one battle.

Also, Lucas makes Anakin a very reluctant evil-doer. When Anakin's put in the black suit, there's a sense of him being imprisoned in his fate, whereas I always thought that's something he should've embraced - well, when you see Vader choking subordinates to death, giving the order to blow up planets, etc., you don't get the impression that there's any reluctance there.

As a footnote how bad was Obi-Wan's defeat of Anakin? "I have the high ground!" Obi-Wan says. So what? Darth Maul had the high ground on Obi-Wan and it didn't seem to bother him. It didn't even seem an issue. Obi-Wan just jumped over him.

And then after Obi-Wan chops him to pieces he just let's Anakin lay there. If Obi-Wan had just finished the job - even if it was a mercy killing - imagine all the pain and suffering the galaxy could've avoided.
