  • God bless him. The media will have a field day w/ him and he is not as charasmatic as his predecessor, in fact he's quite shy and has tried to retire and return to teaching, but he will make a great leader for the Church. (NT) -- bfg, Tue April 19, 2005 14:16:27
  • You can't be serious when you say of Cardinal Ratzinger : "He tried to retire and return to teaching." Gimme a break! This man wrote the book on "Papal Gamesmanship," and was working overtime to get his ticket puched in all the right places ever since he became Archbishop of Munich. He used the services for John Paul II to showcase himself, and his recent exhortations to the Cardinals on the sanctity of tradition and the need for a quick vote was a shameless campaign speech for himself.
