Subject: TMH, the Alumni Relations department has done a very good job of scheduling events around Duquesne basketball games. I know several people who have attended their events during the A-10 tourney in Atlantic City. In addition, Alumni Relations has held events in Philly, DC, Cincinnati, etc. tied around BB games in those areas. In fact, I think I recall that they had an event in Chicago for the women's NIT game against Northwestern last year. I'm pretty sure that the Beef and Beer events at the Palumbo are Alumni Relations events and not Athletic Dept. events.
In reply to: TMH 's message, "That is very problematic El Duque. The University needs to actively engage the alumni, particularly those outside Pittsburgh. The Lehigh Valley should absolutely have one. They should be organizing bus trips to games in Philadelphia and AC, viewing parties for televised games and then use the members to promote Duquense in this area. The same is true for NY, MD, DC, and any other area where there is an accumulation of alumni." on Wednesday, July 14, 08:36:37pm
