  • Actually the idea of a basketball preview goes back to when John Clayton was the sports editor. My senior year, the ad manager came up with enough money and we were able to do a full color cover. Great shot of Bruce Atkins. I know, times have changed and it doesn't sound like much, but in '79-'80 it was a big deal. We went NY Daily News style, big pic and headline. I will say this, after reading the articles, I am very, very impressed with the quality of reporting. (NT) -- El Duque, Thursday, November 11, 08:48:57pm
  • It's sad, that even in your day ('79-'80), it was a big friggin deal to have Duquesne come up with enough money to promote their basketball program. Some things never change. (NT) -- LouDuq, Friday, November 12, 03:00:04am
