As has been pointed out elsewhere, Kansas State and Texas Tech made similar donations. No mention of either in the story. There's a lot of circumstantial information that tells me some things were done that should have been done better, but certainly nothing illegal or dishonest. I didn't question the accuracy or inaccuracy of anything in the story; I'm saying that there was information out there, readily available to the reporter (because he took other information from it as well), and they were not included in the article.
