  • Entering a challenging schedule with two freshman point guards is far from ideal; compound that with the fact that both will be challenged physically due to their slight body types; and this could present a huge problem on the defensive end; hopefully Sean Johnson will be healthy enough to take up some of the slack. Opposing point guards carved up the defense last year; it will be tough to improve with two small guards. (NT) -- Jules, Thursday, October 28, 09:23:35am
  • Both frosh will have to use their quickness, anticipation skills, and quick hands to keep opponents PG from penetrating and breaking down the team defense. The inability to do this in the past has hurt DU and has led to some of the defensive stats ( Points allowed, opponents shooting pctg, 3 pt defense etc ... ) being a bit on the negative side. Here is hoping they play solid, fundamental "D" and keep their man in front of them, box out and refrain from too much "Gambling" for the big play.
