Here is a question. Several A10 teams are having closed scrimmages with other D1 schools this weekend. I know as a fan hungry for basketball exhibition games feeds the hunger, but would DU be better off holding a closed scrimmage with say Providence or Akron, rather than playing La Roche ? -- Duquesne Dukes Basketball Forum

    - How do you gain confidence playing against air? Confidence is gained by holding your own against strong competition. This is not a young team. We were slated to have 4 upperclassmen in the starting lineup. If we can't hang with good teams now, when will it happen? After Bill and Damian graduate?       - Again, Freshman shouldn't start off with BE teams. It's a huge jump from HS to College. Ease in the first couple. I think the freshman have more confidence than they did before last night's game. My opinion. On another note- Dukes have guys in every position that are able to push each other harder in practice as compared to last year's team. Very important. Plus, I am a big guy, not many bigger than me at the AJPC, and I like my premium seats. I enjoyed the extra space. My knees arent knocking people out in front of me.         Not from what I saw. Bill C and BJ were the only vets I saw on the court. If you want to add in Sean- ok. There were times where Marhold was on the floor at C and the freshman were with him.         The reason you saw no vets is because EE is injured, and Damian is suspended. Bill, Damian, EE, and BJ are all starters and all upperclassmen.
