Gene is very old and also from Philly so he should be forgiven for memory lapses; and lack of knowledge regarding Duquesne hoops. I was at almost every game in that era at the Arena and the crowds were not as small as 650; unless there was a blizzard etc. He is also wrong about the quality of play; these teams were at least competitive and many of them were pretty good. The Dukes were above average in the league and Satalin had some talent ( Dobbs, Suder, Sellers; C. Adams etc) until the rape allegations destroyed a potential A-10 champion.
