Subject: RE handing out offers in the Pittsburgh area for 2012

Duquesne University has offered 4 kids in the class of 2012 in the greater Pittsburgh area alone!
This includes: Anthony Dallier, Tyler Scott, Barnett Harris, and Stefan Jankovic. They have also
expressed interest in Highlands guard, Micah Mason.

There are different levels of "Offers". They range from "We've GOT to have you, and if you accept our offer we will certainly reciprocate with a schollie on our end" to " We gave you an offer BUT you are a fallback option. Depending on who else we get to commit / sign we may or may not accept your verbal in response to our offer." Withourt seeing the whole picture we can not be sure where these fall on the spectrum. When I lived in Pittsburgh the best area players could be found in Uniontown, McKeesport, Aliquipa, Farrell, Midland, Clairton, and New Kensington, cities in the river valleys. Also, 5th Avenue and Perry had good players in Pittsburgh. I know there was a big realignment of the WPIAL in 1980 and that the river valleys have lost their industry.
