Subject: Thank you CLK. There were several points to this point.
In reply to: CLK 's message, "TMH, nice post. I agree to a point. Had we made our foul shots last year I think we might have won 20-games. However, to get to the next level we need a bonafide big man." on Friday, July 23, 08:24:09pm

1.)The difference between a 17 win season and a 21 win season is the ability to shoot the ball from both the foul line and the 3- point line.
2.)Damian Saunders is 6-7 and playing center. He was the defensive player of the year in the A-10 and among the nations leaders in rebounding, blocks and steals. TJ McConnel is a 6-0 guard who was among the Greentree leaders in rebounding. Yes, there is some advantage to height but what makes those two stand out is a.)instinctive skills that allow them to watch the flight of the ball and know how it will come off the rim 2.)the hustle to get in position to not only get there but to box out the opponent. If the bigger guy wants it, he'll need to go over our guy's back. c.)the passion to believe that every rebound belongs to him.
Someone mentioned earlier that we don't need any more guards and he's probably right but not because we have an over abundance of them but because the ones we have are very, very talented. In fact if you break down our lineup, we have 4 pure guards, 3 tweeners (who will likely play more big than small) and 5 big men. Granted they are not huge but if this staff and veterans can infuse the qualities I described above, we will be just fine. Rememeber there are very few few tall, highly skilled kids out there and everyone wants them.
