The monument was opened by the Queen in 55 I think Sept /Oct.,. Trinity House Stands at the back of the monument so presume thats where the name Trinity Square comes into the equation. It's a moving experience to walk down alongside and read the names of the ships and of the crews that were lost. Sometimes one name sometimes the whole crew. They are in alphabetical order and so many. It is also the memorial to the fishing fleet of these islands and to who along with the MN Joe Public owes so much. But like politians Joe Public sometimes has short memories.
