I haven't started the program yet. I'm a little hesitant, because it seems to require quite a bit of planning, and I'm not a good planner. I need a little time to digest what I've read, figure out what I'm going to do and then get started.

I think some of what I'm worried about are the things you describe. I really believe that for me the 6 meals a day will be better than three, but the discipline to do that, the changing of old habits (which are very bad, skipping meals etc) is what I need to really commit to doing.

Also my cardio. His "change up and down" the intensity levels, well I don't have any equipment (yet) that I can do that on. My healthrider just feels intense whenever I actually last through 20 whole minutes, and I can't see how to make it easier or harder. Don't have a stationary bike or a treadmill, although I suppose I could just go out and walk or run.

I like the idea of the 12 week committment. But because it is such a long time I want to make sure that before I start I am really ready to commit to finishing it.

I'm going to re-read the book, do some planning, set a date and start doing it. I will keep you informed of my progress.

Oh yeah the other thing I'm worried about is the free day. for me one "free day" or as I've always called them "cheat days" seems to turn into two or three or several weeks. Maybe just calling them free days instead of cheat days will have a better aspect to them psychologically, but I'm not sure of that.

The other thing that bothers me is that even though he seems to have the latest information about how bad carbs are for you, he has still left you with more carbs in your diet while still restricting fat a lot. Most of the foods he describes as "authorized" are low fat, and some of them (like potatoes) I haven't eaten in nearly forever because of the high carb content.
