My calipers have a 1 point measure that I found was pretty accurate. I did both the 1 point, the 3 point and the 7 point measure, and the 1 was almost the same as the 7 point, so I decided to make it easy I would just check the one point for awhile. It says to measure and the Suprailiac which is located an inch above the hipbone. That is where I measured. It is still hard to get consistent readings. Sometimes the calipers "click" consistently at around the same point and sometimes they seem to click early or late. I don't want to feel like I'm cheating but when they act funny, it is hard to trust them. When they give me consistent readings after 3 or 4 tries I tend to trust that measurement more than the random ones.
