Hi Cindy! Hidden carbs are in places you wouldn't think to look for them, like sauses, ketchup, ect. Also eggs and cheese have some carb, but if it is less than 1 per serving, it is not required to be on the label. Same with creams, half and half, ect. READ the labels (lots of ham have sugars added, suger=carb)

As far as the Atkins bars, I have been told they can stall you.

3 -5 times a week for exercise sounds good to me, but I am working up to twice a week! lol. If you haven't been doing anything, it should work for now, but later you will need to concider something else. Weight training for example. Sherry on this site has had some good progress with that.

Ketostix, I am told that as long as there is some color, you are burning fat. The amount of water you are drinking might affect the color.
