The sugar withdrawal lasts one week at the most. I only had it for about three days, and I was cutting caffeine as well and really suffering. Once you get through those initial few days a whole new world opens up to you. If you still get those cravings, then you are eating the wrong carbs. A lot of people get cravings from protein bars too.

I have gone very basic, basically eating salad lunches, and meat/fish and veggie dinners. Breakfast eggs is a good option. Or find some kind of healthfood cracker that has no or little carbs. I eat them with a tower of cheese and a few thin shavings of green pepper.
