Subject: I ended up giving up on trying to call..and then after reading you post about the possible activation fees and whatever else I decided it wasn't worth the trouble...plus after I got to thinking about it, I've had this same number for, oh my heavens, probably close to 7 or 8 years....not worth changing it now!!
In reply to: Sandy 's message, "Gee, Kate. This is something I DON'T know. I would think, though, that if you changed your number, assuming it was available, you'd have a new activation fee to pay, and that could be very pricey. Customer Service should be working today since the calls go to a call center. If you manage to get through and get an answer to this, let me know what they say. In my case and in my defense, I wasn't that attached to my home phone number and my cell number is very easy to remember, so I think I'll keep it. I've had my own cell for at least 4 years and Gerry's had his cell since............oh, geez, I can't even remember when we first started with Verizon. I think it was 2000. That's the year Punkie and Jim got separated and divorced and that's when we decided we needed a cell. Or maybe it was late '99. Oh, well, not important." on 10:51:38 am, Sun, 06/24/07
