Denise, I'm so glad that Jaz is doing so well. I know what you mean about not being good at waiting. I've always said that patience is a learned virtue but my attitude is "God, give me patience, but hurry!" so I know where you're coming from. It's been a ball having Gerry home but the time sure goes faster with my schedule out of whack and we're running around a lot. Took Cricket to the vet this afternoon for another depo shot and he's doing great...........lots of stomping around the house, grumbling, and he and Biscuit have been having so much fun playing in the bathtub together. And the noise they make could raise the dead!! Almost all of the Christmas decorations are down and put away, thanks to Mr. Husband, and the house looks almost normal again. But what's strange is: Gerry's been off and I haven't cooked once this week. Oh, sure, we had our steak and champagne on Christmas Eve night, after church, but he did that on the grill. Kate, you asked about the Furminator. It's a comb that can be used on either a dog or cat. It simply looks like a very short toothed comb but it's designed to pull out the undercoat as well as combing the top fur. And believe me, it's working around here. I've already had to change the bag on my vacuum and learned very quickly to keep my mouth closed while combing the cats. It seems that the downy undercoat wafts up into your mouth, given half a chance. I'm really liking it and now I just wish I could find a way to get the cats to hold still. It must feel good because Snowy wiggles like crazy and even Joey twines around my legs as I'm trying to comb her. You can get it at either Petco or Petsmart but it's kinda pricey..............about $35-$39. I think it's worth it, though, if it keeps me from having to vacuum up so much hair from the floor. I have a great comb too, not a furminator, but might be similar. I am always amazed at how much hair comes off with it. I could comb some of the cats non stop with it. I bring it out and they all come running and fight over their turn for it. (NT) -- Ramona, 8:00:01 am, Sun, 12/30/07
