Subject: I'm spending today trying to get some thank you notes written. My neighbor's adult kids gave us a very nice gift card to the Olive Garden for keeping an eye on their parents. We do love these neighbors (directly across the circle from us) and now that my parents are gone, they're the closest thing I've got to parents, mentors, etc. And I also need to email my two aunts (Dad's sisters) who both live in Lincoln (NE). So it's going to be a quiet day. Can you believe that New Year's Eve is in two days?? Good grief, where has this year gone? Speaking of New Year's, what are you doing for New Year's Eve? And has anyone made any resolutions they want to share?
In reply to: Sandy 's message, "Happy Saturday!! And it's a beautiful day with brilliant sunshine and temps above freezing. I can sit at the kitchen table and watch the snow melt, if I want. I cleaned out the fridge this morning and put everything into my new crock pot for a nice and tasty beef stew for dinner. (Punkie had given me the new Hamilton Beach crock pot that comes with the base and 3 graduated size crocks so you can match the size of the bowl to whatever you're making). Gerry finished taking down the Christmas decorations last night so the house is totally back to normal. It looks a bit bare but the cats are happy to have their perches back in the front window and the sideboard and buffet no longer look so cluttered." on 12:25:09 pm, Sat, 12/29/07
