Subject: Yes, I DO remember Lucy very well and I do appreciate your concern. But, she had gastric bypass and that is something I would never ever do! Lap band is entirely different, it is not major surgery, it is minor, it is reversible and no-one has died, no-one! Trust me, I have been looking into this for a few years now and I would never put myself in a dangerous position. And there really aren't any side effects to speak of. THe nad can slip, but that can be fixed or removed. You can vomit if you eat too fast without chewing. Those are the worst side effects. Please remember, it is not the gastric bypass one.
In reply to: Sandy 's message, "I've seen where you're as warm as we are but good grief, woman, that's no excuse to get on a motorcycle and tempt the fates!! As for the lap band thing, do you really want to undergo surgery? Even if it's done laparoscopically, it's major surgery and it hurts, to say nothing of the side effects, etc. Another reason............remember Luci Bianchi? If you're thinking of going that route, just make sure you're sure and you've done your homework." on 8:04:00 am, Mon, 01/07/08
