Subject: That fall would have scared the crud out of me too! I worry about Molly with those frail little Chi legs! I've never had a wee dog. Lex and Liv are small but so much sturdier than Molly. I can imagine the scream too and it would make my stomach roll! Gald she isn't badly hurt. Some long hours there! I know you have to work right now but this sounds awful. I hate being away all day and playing catch up. Glad your friend's house is OK. I can't believe the crappy people out there either. It's hard to imagine someone that can't see how they are hurting other people and if they do, they don't care. Are you able to see the effects of all that smoke in Az.?
In reply to: V~ 's message, "Posting real quick cuz I am BEYOND EXHAUSTED! Didn't have to be to work till 7:00 this morning, but we had some people come in as I was getting ready to close with an emg. boarding need for their dog, so I stayed and did their paperwork and stuff. Didn't get out of there till almost 7. That's 2 12-hour days filled with scrubbing floors and mats, pottying doggies and cleaning up after them, etc. Basically the same thing I do at home... but then I have to come home after 12 hours and do it all here too! My legs and feet are KILLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway...... So far, thanks to shifting winds, Rachel's house is ok.... knocking on wood!!! Thanks for thinking of her you two!!

  • My feet would be gone after about 30 minutes, the legs shortly thereafter and the back would take about 30-45 minutes. I can understand why you're exhausted and hurting. I'm glad Gilly didn't get badly hurt and hope she's all back to normal by now. That would scare the crap out of me to have her slide off the counter like that. • I've had something similar like that happen with the cats. We have my grandparents antique library table in front of our double living room windows and to protect the top from kitty claws, we found a doggie crate mat that fits perfectly. The cats love it because it's so soft and fuzzy. Anyway, they've been known to jump up on the library table at a full run and slide the mat (even though it's got a non-skid backing) right off the table and onto the floor.......with them on it!!! Thankfully, no one has ever gotten hurt but it can sure scare the humans in the household. (NT) -- Sandy, 6:20:35 pm, Sat, 10/27/07
