Subject: What wonderful news, Ramona. Not that Ben has crystals but that he's not blocked and that they can be dissolved before they cause problems. I know the Royal Canin is expensive but it's better than surgery. Now you just have to figure out how to feed it to Ben and maybe Roger and not all the rest. And hooray for not having spinal stenosis but bulging disks aren't anything to play around with. Will your insurance coverage pay for more PT for you? I hope they will since the PT is much cheaper and easier than surgery for that.
In reply to: Ramona 's message, "No infection for Ben, YEAH!! Just loaded with crystals that need to be disolved before they turn to the stones. So, I get to have fun and figure out how to feed him separately. Actually, the diet they gave me, Royal Canin SO is fine for all the cats to eat, even Roger as it dissolves both kinds of crystals (Ben has struvite Roger has oxolyte) and keeps bladders working perfect, but I can't afford for all 9 to eat it. 1 bag of dry and 1 case of wet cost $54.00. But it is nice to know that if one of the others gets it acidently, they won't get hurt by it at all. Oh, and I do not have spinal stenosis, I have 3 bulging disks. Got to get some therapy for that. More money to spend I don't have! Well, thats what they make overtime for so I'll be working tomorrow. YUCK nothing worse than working on your day off!" on 1:28:44 pm, Fri, 11/09/07
