Subject: Oh no, that is so awful! I am so sorry for that firefighter. But, glad it wasn't your daughters place. Boy, that really sucks! It is just so unfair for firemen to lose their life trying to help people. Police too, for that matter. It just stinks and is so sad. Glad Travis was ok too! Wasn't too hot here today, but it is supposed to be bad tomorrow.
In reply to: Sandy 's message, "We're sending up prayers of thanksgiving today. Around here, school starts tomorrow and Travis had his first football practice yesterday afternoon. While Travis and Punkie were at the practice, Punkie got a phone call from one of her friends, telling her that a building in her apartment complex was on fire. Oh-so-thankfully, it wasn't her building but one that was just east of her's. She called us to let us know so we wouldn't freak out when it came on the news. The building was completely involved and gutted and a firefighter died fighting the fire." on 5:49:20 am, Tue, 08/14/07

  • Oh God how SCARY, and how very sad for the firefighter and his family. I'm very glad it wasn't Punkie's building tho.... Fire scares the KWAP out of me... as I'm sure you all can understand why. {{HUGS}} Sandy, and pass some along to Punkie and Travis for me. (NT) -- V~, 9:35:08 am, Wed, 08/15/07
