Subject: Kate, tooth and gum problems cause an animal to constantly swallow the bacteria. It can upset their stomachs, cause kidney damage and heart damage. It can very well make them throw up. She may also be nauseated from it . Nausea can also be causing her strange mouth gestures too tho. I think if it were me, I'd take her to the vet for a geriatric blood panel (which checks for everything), and a complete check up.... Better safe than sorry! Hopefully it's just the heat, or something very minor. Keep us posted honey. We have Josie (and you!) in our prayers. {{{HUGS}}}
In reply to: Kate (again) 's message, "contd...
and now she is acting funny with her mouth...she keeps opening and closing her mouth and kind of smacking her lips....gees, if by chance she is having a problem with a tooth..would that make her throw up like she did? I hate not knowing..and especially with her..hate to say it, but chances are she ate something that has upset her belly and it just has to settle down...but if that's not it, then how do I tell?? It never seemed to hang on quite this long before....
