Subject: Lip smacking at my house means upset tummy. You might just let her not eat for 24 hours and let it settle. Can you try some Pepto? Makes a nice pink mess sometimes but....lol. Hope she is better tonight.
In reply to: V~ 's message, "Kate, tooth and gum problems cause an animal to constantly swallow the bacteria. It can upset their stomachs, cause kidney damage and heart damage. It can very well make them throw up. She may also be nauseated from it . Nausea can also be causing her strange mouth gestures too tho. I think if it were me, I'd take her to the vet for a geriatric blood panel (which checks for everything), and a complete check up.... Better safe than sorry!
