the sun dont shine everywhere,
it hardly hits the alleys which the homeless rally in
makin valiant efforts to splash their hands to sunlight
some might like the dark, willin to bet most dont
life tests, they go alone, stress holds to bones
a paler flesh tone.. look at your mother
fights for shelter, raising kids who raise hell for
the love of it, got the roof, when yall are under it,
light dont shine through, open the blinds
blind truth, different from blind faith where pawns might be used
the light, stronger than any tight crew
who might fight in the dark, might fight FOR the dark
half the country in the dark, a few here and there sparked
where's the lantern now? cancer rampant in your town
the tanned are dying breeds, not talkin just minorities
its an eclipse, and cats still seek shade..
