I grew up in the prosperous 50's and 60's and our house was not full of stuff! My parents grew up in the hard times and knew the value of a dollar and simply did not spoil their children. My mother was not a collector of anything. I have been a collector of this and that, but over recent years I have been de-cluttering! At the end of the day, the "stuff" is all so unnecessary!
I never thought the Waltons home was crammed, but they always seemed to have what they needed...and often what they wanted.
