Why are feis numbers so incredibly small this year? U16--only 3 registered. When these girls were U15 a year ago, there were ten. Across the board, the NER feises seem to not even be making 50% capacity. -- New England Irish Dancers

Maybe top tier dancers are taking the rest of the summer off and will be back in the Fall.

In addition, perhaps others have realized that chasing placements weekend after weekend is not a good choice for their family, so they feis once a month instead of hitting every feis.

Prices are up everywhere, which is mirrored in the feis prices - gas prices are still rather high and maybe those $100 feis weekends (fee only- doesn't include gas/snacks/etc) are out of reach for many that want to feis.

Lots of reasons multiple feisesanna aren't at capacity.
