" V BROOKS -- W. Pat McGrath, 18:15:02 09/28/06 Thu (r163h145.dixie-net.com/64.89.163.145)

You were told earlier tonight why the post was deleted. If you would have your bosses call and OK I would be more than happy to air the reason for not running it.

You make this sound like YOU told me why my post was removed. I spoke with Joe and he told me that you were the only one who could have a post removed (and why). You have not afforded me the courtesy to speak with me personally. You chose to post on the message board in a manner that makes it APPEAR that YOU talked to me or told my something.

Oh the games people play.

" Pat McGrath -- VBrooks, 19:25:25 09/28/06 Thu (dialup-4.244.99.173.Dial1.StLouis1.Level3.net/4.244.99.173)

My husband and I own our own business in Pryor Oklahoma. To the best of my knowledge we do not have a boss other than ourselves and I do not see how that has any relevance or is anyone's business.

As far as my post being removed, I requested that I be contacted and told why I was not being allowed to post information about a race on this message board.

SINCE THIS DID NOT HAPPEN I called Joe Smiley because his number was readily available and he has always been gracious enough to visit on any subject.

Joe told me that Pat McGrath (you) were the ONLY person who had the authority to determine what was allowed on the message board and that you wanted MY POST off because WRR did not pay out at the nationals.

Your personal issues with WRR are not my concern BUT I will admit that I was marginally offended because I volunteer at this track and I happened to be the individual who handed out the money!!!! I was still at the track when the sun was coming up and continued to hand out money to everyone who came to collect it. I gave out all of the trophies, 40 boxes of donated items from AutoZone and CASH (not checks).

Joe indicated that there were three people that he knew of that did not receive their money. If that is the case, I understand their frustration. We never got our money from nationals at Sweet Springs. HOWEVER, I had EVERYONE'S CASH MONEY AVAILABLE FOR PAYOUT ON SATURDAY NIGHT!

NOW, WITH THAT SAID...None of this has any bearing on my post. My post provides information on a race....INDIVIDUALS, RACERS AND FANS HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE THEIR OWN DECISION AS TO WHETHER THEY WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND THIS RACE.

I am not posting this information at the request of anyone. I am posting this information because it will be a good race with a good payout WHICH FOR THE RECORD WILL BE PAID OUT EACH NIGHT IN CASH and I hope that many of the friends we have made over the years might like to come to Oklahoma and participate.

In addition, should someone make the trip and not be happy with the results on Friday night, they would have the option of running at Port City or I44 on Saturday night since both of those tracks are also running the same weekend.

When and where someone races is not an NMMA president's decision. You are attempting to prevent individuals from having information that will allow them to DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES. IF SOMEONE IS AFRAID THEY WILL NOT GET PAID, I DOUBT THEY WILL SHOW UP but they will be missing a good post season race.

Our sport does not have alot of decent paying races so why don't you allow the racers to decide for themselves RATHER THAN MAKE THE INFORMATION HARD FOR THEM TO GET.

I'm sure you have Joe and Tammy's number and you can address any personal issues or NMMA issues with them. As far as my post, here is my number if you have a valid reason for not allowing me to post racing information. I stay up very late so don't let that bother you.

i find it real funny that some races can be posted on here and some can't, a track that held the nationals is having a big money race after the nmma season and the nmma does not want its members to know about it. the post about the race has been removed twice from this board. so if you are interested you can go to sweetsprings, or micro out laws, to find the info. removing post about races sure does not seem to be the way to promote the sport.

I would like to apologize to everyone. These two day shows have finally caught up with me and my crazy schedule. I just now finished the race results for last weekend, which was too late for Mary Ellen to include in this week's updates of the national points. I just didn't get them done in a timely manner this week and I am really sorry. I know that being this close to the end of the season makes it even worse. Please forgive me this time. I'll try to do better from now on.

I was wondering if any one had the phone number to the lab in Texas where the fuel samples are sent to. I haven't seen any results from them on the fuel samples that were taken at SIR last Saturday night. I was also curious, how were the drivers given their cards back and paid for the night when there is a fuel check. It seems to me that EVERYONE that was checked would have had everything held until the results were back.

" New Rules -- Delty, 23:29:21 08/28/06 Mon (CPE-65-30-54-210.kc.res.rr.com/65.30.54.210)

I am re posting because no board members replyed previously.
I don't usually post messages but I think I need to this time. It is the motor rules that I will reply about.
You are going to require regional techs to attend a meeting to teach them is a good thing but, who is going to teach? You can't use anyone who profits from selling or working on motors. Why? Because they will show you 4 of 5 things to check and keep that 5th one for their customers. And you can't use the old timers because for example one of them couldn't understand how a 600 could have different bore and stroke and still be a 600. Also the big deal on TPS's no one realy knew what it did until it was explained on a different message board.
These are motorcycle motors, you need someone with motorcycle background. With over 20 years experience I have seen what changes year to year. And the guy who thinks he knows the ins and outs of every motor of every year of every model and manufacturer without turning the page on a factory manual or looking at a parts diagram is fooling himself and you. Newer/better parts will sometimes fit older models and an average person can't tell.Access to all technical publictions a dealer gets is a must. Your average person can't get these and doesn't always know where to look.
Next big thing is the power alloted to the tech. If he says its illegal than its illegal. If the ref can make the decision than why isn't he teching? I know this because I found a questionable modification on a car once but almost was thrown from the scoring tower because it was the track president's sons car. It all boils down to who is stroking who and what gets by.
Also in response to carbs on fuel injected motors:
Joe,
What if I don't have the same manufacturer of motor as my new injected motor? Then what do I do for these parts i.e black box, carbs, wire harness, etc.? And Pat, 8 or 9 things to verify who are you trying to kid?
Before this tech schooling is completed backgrounds need checked and clear black and white rules need to be written or this will be only another joke told by tracks that are no longer affiliated with the NMMA.

Joe,
I never said I was smarter than the old timers. Just more observant of new technology.
Won't a motor kit for a fuel injected motor come with injectors?
And don't worry about making me mad,you didn't. I don't change the rules at the drop of the hat when things don't go my way.
These were only suggestions. But I guess if you didn't come up with them it doesn't matter.
By the way how do you think Dean explained what the TPS does? I explained it on the Sweet Springs message board.

So Joe do you concider yourself a smart man? If I bought a car kit (motor) it would come with fuel injection not carbs, so how does that solve not having carburators? Also what keeps me from putting Suzuki carbs on a Honda motor?

sipping the L/R tire in the Stock Classes.
At the Board meeting in August the Board did away with the Mnm.40 Durometer Rule for the L/R Tire in the Stock Classes.
Since now the L/R is not a Spec Tire it is now OK to Sip.
and re-grove it same as any other none Spec Tire.

I have a question, Why is Loretta able to post a message on here SELLING National T Shirts? Shouldn't that post have to be on the CLASSIFIED Board?
I put a post on here for jewelry for sale and it got removed.
Why the double standard? Do you have to board member to post what ever you want on whatever site you wish?
I can understand not being able to post cars or parts for sale on here.
If you cant sell jewelry on here you shouldn't be able to sell shirts or hats.

Thanks for asking, the T-Shirts are a good question. This office assumed since it was something to do with the NMMA itself it would be ok but the NMMA president is out of town at this time and he will return around the 3,4, or 5th. We will definately check with him. Our hands are tied on th is end we remove what we are told only. If this changes since it is jewlery pertaining to our racing I will e-mail you.
Please give us the few days until he returns and we will check with him concerning this matter, for sure.

Terry, you are right, it is NMMA/CCMMRA items that are for sale, not anything for a personal or private gain that Loretta has so kindly put her name on as being a "contact" for to try to recoup some of the monies that were spent by the CCMMRA/NMMA on items that were left over and are for sale, now at reduced prices. Why do they keep pulling fuel from juniors and even if they test illegal they never send it off.I think they should pull the fuel, seal it, and send it off without testing at the track and let the chips fall where they may.

They do send fuel off to be tested. For example during the Nationals our fuel was questioned and it was sent to a lab for testing. I was notified last week of the results.

The results were "Approved fuel with 2 stroke oil" so we were fine.

I would have to assume that any other time fuel is in question the NMMA does have it sent off and tested.

Fuel can only be shipped by ground and then it cost
approx.$40 to $50 to send it depending on where you are.
This charge would have to be paid by each driver.
In the case of the fuel sent off at the National's
I was able to have it hand carried by a driver who was going through Bay Town TX and so it cost no one anything.

If NMMA would use the Digatron and also train someone to properly use it, most problems will go away. You will also have to stand behind the meter. It won't tell you what is in it, but it will tell you they are adding things of which should not be there.

Lucas good job in the feature....... the racing was good but there was some really dumb moves made on the track.. but hey who has not made them..... the officiating was sub par at the most in the nonwing class they let a car enter the race after the race already started, then that car started to run over everybody even though he was a lap or more down... but it was fun to watch.... good job again

The non-wing did come late, but in the drivers meeting it was dicussed about late arrivals. He was given two laps then the race was on. He did enter the track during the first lap so he was not a lap down, and he came out at the tail of the field. There was some bumping around by him and others. But on a slick track in a non-wing that is par and when it resulted in a spin is when their was a call made.Except in one instance a call was made and there was no spin.

All and All the races were great and
The people were awsome
It was truly a great time
Congradulations to every one and Thank You
