just a little clarification

chandelier

it isn't pronounced like in the song ' chandeli li li é ' ( ' chandeleleleé " but ' chande lier ' the ' ier ' is important
the liaison is important. So at the end it should be " chan*de*lier *"

Many English words come from the French (as English we know was originally made up of a combination/fusion of Old English (Anglo-Saxon), and the old French from the Normans.
