    • I am a Brit, albeit a displaced one. Snogging means necking or kissing in the romantic sense. You wouldn't snog a friends or family. . As mj said, a git is not a nice person, but calling someone a git is really rude. As Chris said, Sod is not a nice word, but it is very mild and wouldn't raise any eyebrows. I use it all the time, as in "I'm sodding off now," instead of "I'm going." Mild correction for Chris, lorry (or truck) is spelt with 2 Rs, not like the girl's name.   • Try fanfiction.net. I used to read a lot of Jag fics there (after I had devoured all that was on the boards here). There are thousands of entries for books, TV shows, movies, you name it. • New Pilot for a Possible TV Series -- Araninda, 16:33:51 02/10/13 Sun [9]
  Found this interesting entertainment news tidbit today:
  
  One of the pilot shows being developed as a possible 2013 fall TV series for Fox is "Wild Blue." It is being developed as an ensemble series about the men and women on board a US aircraft carrier. The promo says that "Equipped with a 500 foot landing strip, a nuclear reactor and 6000 souls on board, Wild Blue is an upstairs/downstairs look at the pressure-cooker lives of US Navy personnel." The story lines will therefore presumably involve both officers and enlisted and aviators as well as support personnel.
  
  Of course, at this point, there's no certainty it will make it on the air. Many pilot shows never become series for various reasons. But the idea is interesting. And I know someone who would make a wonderful captain for the ship. LOL!

  • I won't mention the realty shows I watch. Too embarrassing. I do like real competions though, like Master Chef, Project Runway, and a number of the dance competitions (not DWS..) However, for great quality tv, DOWNTON ABBY is wonderful! So is Sherlock, and to a lesser extent, Elementary. I love a lot of the Brit shows, particularly their detective shows. • For all of you posters who stated below that CB has had plastic surgery-Shame on you!!!!!!! -- Janelle, 17:32:21 01/14/13 Mon [22]
  I've recently seen CB and she had NOT had any plastic surgery or work done. I've met and talked with her numerous times over the years and she is just a gorgeous as she always was. Saw her with no make-up on besides mascara and lip gloss and she's beautiful. It's disheartening to read such nasty comments and untruths made by so called fans. I asked her what she thinks about statements like these and if they hurt her. She said she chooses not to read or respond to comments like these. People are gonna say what they want no matter how untrue so it's not worth it to spend time reading negativity. Many factors can have an affect things such as make-up, lighting, airbrushing, cameras, tv etc. She said she focuses on the positive and lets the other stuff go. So I'm gonna ignore those nasty untrue comments below and stop lurking here as well, such pettiness from people I thought were better than that.

• I just finished re-watching all ten seasons of JAG, it took a couple of months for me to complete but finished it today. I really do miss that show!   • I haven't cared that much for either of their choices. DJE was "okay" in Close To Home and the amnesia movie, but neither were of the caliber of JAG.   • I own all 10 seasons of JAG and watch it frequently when there is nothing on TV that I am interested in. I would love it if DJE was brought back with a JAG reunion movie or maybe with DJE and CB making a guest appearance on NCIS.   Has anyone seen this movie?
  
  It was really worth seeing, which surprised me, I didnt think I would like it at all. My DH insisited, and I caved.
  
  Jessica Chastain's character was so riveting that I couldnt look away for a minute and then low and behold I see Jennifer Ehle in a supporting role.
  
  I'm ashamed to say, I didnt even realize it was her for 3/4 of the movie. This was a looong way from Pride and Prejudice.
  
  I know there is alot of controversy surrounding this movie, but its really more than that. And if you can get through the first 15-20 minutes, you'll be glad you stuck around to see what this movie was all about.

  Before I was obsessed with JAG, I was obsessed with Pride and Prejudice (1995) and before that, it was with Les Miz. I've seen the play four times and have listened to my CD countless times. I read the book too and cried my eyes out at the end. What a great story and an amazing play. I hope the movie lives up to the hype.

  Several months back I posted something about the 1940 movie "Remember the Night" starring Barbara Stanwyck and a very young Fred MacMurray. This movie was what the JAG ep "Answered Prayers" was based on (with a different ending, of course). Well, since it is now the Christmas season, it is finally on TV again. TCM will air it at 9:45 Wednesday night. So set your DVR if you like feel-good, romantic movies. Besides, I think it's interesting to see how much they pulled from the movie when they wrote the JAG ep.

      • I think so, you dont have to plan what you do around your favorite shows. Also, I have Xfinity, which means if I do miss my favorites, most of them can be seen through that.
