    - I don't watch Castle, but I read these interviews (thank you, Cece) and all I could think of was what a missed opportunity JAG had and let go! We discontinued our Sky subscription (which still airs JAG, which I DO miss, but it wasn't worth the price of the subscription! lol) and now have BT Vision which has limited shows -- we just don't watch much TV although I LOVE the Danish 'The Killing' and 'Vera' and 'Sherlock', but I just don't watch TV like I used to. - Writers say they will not skip time, but will show the 'morning after' and the relationship at work. They said it will be 'fun'. FUN. DPB should be ashamed of himself. - Like everyone else, I was OMGGGGGG'd at the end. It was so great. And what DB didn't realize is that when you put them together, it keeps the show fresh. Now, they have a whole new slew of storylines they can portray instead of the tired old, ignore, jealous, looks, etc. Now I'm excited about next season because you know they can't live happily ever after, but at least we know they both love each other and they can get through it together. inside... -- panting judi, 12:46:20 05/08/12 Tue

- I don't normally watch castle- although I love susan sullivan - After JAG I pretty much had it with the will they won't they crime fighting duos- lol- But - I did happen to catch last nights episode because a houseguest was watching it- While I was reading a book at the same time as the last few minutes- I did notice I'll be darned they didn't walk away- After all the comments y'all have made- maybe I'll watch next season. - I couldn�t develop the same passion that I had with H&M for this show but it�s still great to see that they took the plunge instead of dragging it out. Smart move and the scene was great!   - I think it was because she was hell bent on putting herself in a deadly enterprise and he would not be able to save her. He'd always had her back, but in this instance, he would be encouraging her to continue and that would have got her killed for sure. At this point, she thought he'd betrayed her by working the case behind her back. She was being stupidly reckless, and putting the other cop in danger too.         IMO and i'm probably wrong, he knew he couldnt make her do something she wasnt ready to do. It was literaaly her epiphany to have. Like he said...he's been RIGHT there all this time.         It makes sense. She told him clearly that he didn't get to interfere with her life, and she told him essentially, that loving her didn't give him that right. He had no choice but to back off. To do otherwise would have been patronizing. As you said, she had to find out for herself what was important to her. She was wrong, and she owned it.   - Oops, I thought it was Castle who pulled Beckett up but it was the other cop. Castle didn�t go to the scene. He also didn�t take her call after the graduation ceremony.     - He is supportive but knew this was a suicide mission she would not have gotten justice just killed. He could not watch that and was not capable of stopping them. I wish someone would have said this is not what her mother would have wanted for her. She would not want her daughter to obsess to the point of being reckless and not caring if she dies.       - Harm was a larger than life hero but in this case, I was thinking more about Mac supporting Harm who was the obsessed and reckless one. Cece is right, I need to remember Castle is a writer and he is not in the military or law enforcement field. I can�t compare them to H or M.         Kate wanted the truth because it was personal to her but she was willing to put aside the investigation for a year even when she didn�t know that Castle made the deal for her. She just couldn�t step away when the leads from the murder investigation fell onto her lap again. I would be disappointed if she just let the murderer go because of concern of own safety but she should have a better plan and backup in going after the bad guy. - That's a tough one. I read A lot!! "The Firm" as all ready been made into a movie and a TV show which they are cancelling much to my disappointment. Rizzole and ILLes is based on books by Tess Gerritsen a favorite author of mine. I guess I would love to see a TV series based on Heather Grahams books. Oh, my, another legend has died. Dick Clark, "America's oldest teenager", who launched the careers of so many singers and musicians, died today at the age of 82.

For more than 30 years, American Bandstand. And of course his New Year's Eve spectacular, plus many other TV shows.

How many of you, like me, learned to dance by watching American Bandstand?

Rest in peace, and thanks for the memories.

I only started watching Glee this season. I know it's for kids, but I am really enjoying some of the shows they put on. I know they are lip syncing, but they are really talented singers. The stories are okay, and I think they are good for young people, with messages about tolerance and anti-bullying for example.

On the other hand, Smash is for adults. I'm loving it. It's so interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes of a Broadway show. I also like the characters. They are interesting and varied. Katherine McPhee and Megan Hilty have wonderful voices, and I'm really enjoying the original music. Anyone else out there equally enthused?

- You can tell that McPhee and Hilty have trained voices. A lot of the Idol belters really could use some training. They often over warble, screetch, and use melisma. watched the episode last night - and while it was the easiest to watch (though that last bit with donna mills struck me as a bit insensitive) I still had my doubts about the renewability of this show but found the following online about the ratings - it's pretty encouraging:

"For the 3rd week in a row, ABC�s GCB (2.2/6) registered as the No. 1 series in the 10:00 p.m. hour in Adults 18-49, beating out the second hour of NBC�s 2-hour �Celebrity Apprentice� by 5% (2.1/5) and CBS� �The Good Wife�/�CSI: Miami� combo by 10% (2.0/5). Additionally, for the 4th straight week, the new ABC drama earned the No. 1 broadcast position in its slot with Adults 18-34 and key Women (W18-34/W18-49).

GCB grew week to week by 7% in Total Viewers (6.5 million vs. 6.1 million) and by 10% in Adults 18-49 (2.2/6 vs. 2.0/5), while hitting series highs in Adults 18-34 and key Women (W18-34/W18-49)."

- The fake accent doesn't bother me. Remember, he's from west Texas, not Dallas, so maybe his accent is stronger than those who grew up in Dallas. In fact, I think it's kind of cute! I just watch Sun night episode of GCB. I still feel that it doesn't have much to offer. The interaction between Annie Potts and her daughter is the only redeeming story line. - Annie Potts was wonderful. The actress who played the lead was great. I found the show to be overblown and distastful. I did not find it funny. I know it's suppose to be extreme, but it was to extreme for me. With the economy as bad as it is, people out of work looking for jobs and the homeless rate higher than it's ever been I just don't find flashing all that money around funny.       - the biggest problem is there's no 'one' southern accent - Folks from boston don't sound like folks from connecticut any more than folks from alabama sound like folks from Texas - and Texas especially is a HUGE state - folks from East Texas do not sound anything like folks from north texas- If there's one thing I can say about Dallas is the word yes is one syllable - East Texas?         Yes, I know there are lots of very different Southern accents, and I'm famililar with many of them, since I have family all over the South. The problem is that when actors try to "fake" a Southern accent, they aren't actually "doing" any accent in particular. Instead they are just doing a conglomeration of accents that amount to what someone thinks a generic Southerner sounds like, which isn't how any of us actually sound in reality. - Just finished watching Ep 1 online. It wasn't as bad as I hought it would be -- actually quite entertaining and I'm intrigued. I don't think I would keep watching, though, if DJE wasn't in it.   - I don't know about advertising anywhere else but the Dallas area was BOMBARDED with advertising - the newspaper had it in truckloads- the sunday paper came wrapped in a bag bright with christian chenowith and diamond GCB. articles about where it was filmed. commercials for the first ep were on every five seconds- LOL - It's either going to really attrract the dallas market curious to see what's going on or it's going to really tick off a lot of people- LOL Either way- I'd love to see more of DJE at least this series I could watch the last one was not my cup of tea. - According to critics, this show is a stinker. I think it was the Boston Globe that said that it was an embarrassment to the great talent. One of the EW critics felt it wouldnt be around next season as it had that novelty feel to it and once the shock factor wore off it would no longer be novelty. - The is a place called the "Kitchen Cabinet" on Facebook. They were having a fit over the show. Comments were very interesting. Several people wanted to know if Hollywood have dared to use a title like "Good Muslim Bitches" or "Good Jew Bitches". No one seemed to care that the TV name was Good Christian Belles.
