- I know who they kill off; I'll post it inside if anyone wants to be spoiled. What did you think of the episode? They're changing the direction of the series this season, less episodic and more serialized, meaning many fewer clients of the week & more about Michael's enemies and bringing them down. I think it's going to be more emotional & dark. You don't take away someone Michael loves without "hell raining down upon you!" - I'm sick of Anson & that whole storyline. Tired of Anson always outwitting Michael, & in the premiere Anson is suddenly physically stronger than Michael? Give me a break! All the other villians had a one up on Michael at times, but never ALWAYS outsmarted him ALL the time.     - Yeah I already know I'm going to be disappointed, which is probably why my Burn Notice days are limited. Michael has been dealing with Anson for over a season now, & its time for him to go. Even when Dead Larry, Simon, Gilroy, Carla, & oh gosh who was the guy that Michael figured out had a daughter at boarding school??? Anyway, even with all of these masterminds, they never ever continually had the upper hand on Michael, something that currently is ALWAYS afforded to Anson.       - You must really hate Anson, his character has morphed into more than one season, LOL! Truth is, Anson wasn't introduced until the second 1/2 of last season & was in only 7 episodes. He debuted in "Dead to Rights," when Larry came back. As to him "physically" beating Michael, Michael's mind was on other things (friends, Fi), plus he needs to take Anson "alive," so he can prove Fi isn't responsible for the bombing of the whole building & killing the guards.         I can honestly say doc that I DETEST the Anson character. I forget BN's seasons are split, 1/2 & 1/2, but it sure seems like Anson has been around for a lot longer than 7 episodes. I just miss the original premise, & hate the fact that Michael CAN NEVER get one up on Anson, he's ALWAYS ahead. And now it appears that in order to take Anson down, there will be a death (someone close to Michael) which means even though Anson gets his, he still WINS by hurting Michael.         If I let everything I didn't like about a show ruin it for me, then there would have been a LOT of unwatched shows, including JAG. I'd rather go with the writers and see where it takes me. I've said numerous times, I'm not going to watch this anymore, but I'm drawn back to a show because of specific characters and the fact that I like their qualities. I love Michael's qualities and I'll hang in there to see him take down Anson. Don't want to miss the action and know that Fi and Michael WILL be together again. - I love The Glades!! I wasn't sure about Longmire, but I'm into it now. With the humor mixed in to both shows, you never know what they're going to say. I absolutely LOVE this show!!! The writing is witty & fun. The cast ensemble is great, and of course, there is an amazing love story buried inside. What more could you ask for, right? I swore I would never get this involved with a show again after JAG, but I fear I have crossed that line already. My first hint is that I started to reading some fan fiction a couple of weeks ago, when I was exhausted & needed some down time post a particularly wicked string of calls. Luckily, there isn't that much to be had, so it didn't take long. Which brings me to my next dilemma, I have a fanfic story forming in my head & I'm getting a hankering to start writing. OH NO, I swore to myself "NEVER AGAIN," and here I am falling back into an addiction. Help!!!! Did we ever find a TV SHOW ANONYMOUS? Because I think I am seriously in need some therapy, LOL!!!

Matt Nix the producer of Burn Notice hasn't been the least bit afraid of putting this amazing couple together. Their relationship is electric, and even though they are together, they haven't lost any of their charisma. I wish TPTB had been that brave with Harm & Mac. Too many producers play the "sexual tension" angle for way too long, and when the couple finally gets together, the relationship is stale & the fans no longer care. Way to go Matt Nix!!! - I DVR'd and watched this weekend. I did like it, but what I liked was good old bad JR. I love Bobby too, but he cant be the knight in shining armor without JR, no one else is as bad as he is good. Finally!!! Lifetime Movie Network is having a marathon of season 6 eps of Army Wives at a decent time too. Its bad enough that we still have 2 wks to go for the rest of the season eps to go. We have to wait at least a month now-u forget where they left off. Does anyone else watch this show? Been a fan from season 1 first ep, but not too thrilled w/this season though.

I was scrolling down and saw the thread about "Remember the Night" and posters wondering where they can see it. There's a new service online called "CanIstream.it" which scans ALL available online movie sources to tell you which providers offer the movie and in which format. All you do is type in the name of the movie.

Unfortunately, "Remember the Night" is not available online anywhere, to stream, rent or buy.

However, it's a good opportunity to check out this free service. You can also sign-up to receive free notifications of when a requested movie *does* become available.

I check tvguide.com at least once a week because you can type in a movie (or an actor) and it will tell you if it is airing in the next 14 days and if so, when and where. - Kay had been fighting cancer for several years. She was such a sweet lady. I got to know her on one of the acting forums (Actors Acces) that I go to for advice and info for my kids. She was wlways so helpful with SAG union questions and such. Always willing to asnswer questions and she gave great advice to young up and coming actors. She will truly be missed. I've mentioned below that I've lost interest in Bones, and really disliked the way they wrecked the ship. Last night, I saw I had 6 eps on my DVR, so decided to watch the season finale, as it had a good reviews from Theresa.

This episode made me remember why I used to like Bones. It was so interesting and well crafted, and the Bones/Booth relationship showed a great deal of tenderness. I loved Cam in this ep, and I love the way all of Bones colleagues believe in her in the face of overwhelming evidence. Now I feel bad for being so down on Bones. I'm going to play catch up, and start watching again next year. I'm hoping they get back on track, and as Theresa said, get some of the steam back.

- Well I'm flattered Cece, thanks for taking my reviews to heart on Bones. They are doing great with the characters still, they just need to let them sizzle again! Relationships can last and still be sizzly! And this relationship is still relatively new! They said they didn't show the initial love scene because fans don't want to see the mushy stuff, but now all they have is the mushy stuff! We want to see the sizzle! I watched House last night and was like this is dragging, why are they bringing back everyone in Houses life as a ghost and then they went and made it look like he was dead. I was then blown away with did they really kill off House to leave his good buddy to die alone? And then just when you thought it was true they did the he barely escaped and took off with Wilson to the sunset. I also liked the hr good bye show that came 1st.

Now to Greys Anatomy, all I could see with the 4 waiting on the rest to make that dinner with the Old Cheif was everyone waiting for Harm to make it back for Macs wedding rehearsal dinner. The people there clueless that their friends were in peril. And TPTB did a surprising thing by killing off someone very early in the show. One of the ones I liked. They say that no one can consider themselves totally safe with the new season but with everyone signed to come back it would be a real shocker to see someone else leave.

All in All I think most of the shows that I watch or just glanced at for their season or series final were pretty good this year.

- House has been my favourite show since the very first episode, and I've been a huge fan of Hugh Laurie for about 30 yrs. Before House, I rarely saw him in anything that wasn't absurd comedy. I think the writing on House was brilliant, and the last episode kept me guessing to the last moment.   - The editor addressed the choppiness of the scene. She said it was edited for emotional impact and not flow. She said sometimes you have to sacrifice the flow of the scene to get the emotional impact you want out of it. They were going for STRONG emotions there. "Remember the Night" - an underrated, little-known classic movie -- JAG Junkie (Ronda)--who spends too much time watching old movies, 21:09:49 05/19/12 Sat [7]
I just watched the 1940 movie "Remember the Night" with Barbara Stanwyck and Fred MacMurray. This is obviously the movie that the writers had in mind when they came up with the storyline for the JAG ep where they introduced Jennifer Coates. It's too similar for it to be a coincidence.

Barbara Stanwyck plays a thief and Fred MacMurray is prosecuting her. It's Christmas, he gets a continuance but feels bad that she will have to spend Christmas in jail, so he gets her out, only she has no place to go. He is planning to go home for the holidays and they realize that she is from an area near his hometown so they decide he will drop her off on his way. After witnessing the cold reception her mother gives her, he decides to not leave her there, and takes her to his mother's house instead, where she experiences the warmth of a real family at Christmastime. Just as you would suspect, they fall in love.

As you can see this is very similar to the JAG ep "Answered Prayers", except for the falling in love part, although several fanfic writers try to put Harm and Jen together (ew!) I had been looking for this movie for a while and thought I would have to wait until Christmas for it to be aired on TV, but TCM (one of my favorite channels) actually showed it the other night so I happily set the TiVo.

Has anyone else seen this movie? It's not very well known and I'm not too sure how I even found out about it. I think it was when I was looking at Barbara Stanwyck on IMDB (one of my favorite websites). I thought I would point it out because of the obvious JAG connection.

Does anyone else think that CBS has gotten a little over the top with all of their cop shows? I mean in everyone of them they have a cliffhanger where someone is being knocked off. I watch NCIS and CSI but saw that Hawaii 50, NCIS LA, and on and on where there is a major departure. I have even read that on NCIS that the final pages of the script were only handed out to those at the shoot.

The only ABC show I watch is Greys Anatomy and they are having a similar cut a cast member but I know with them that it was because 6 of the main cast had yet to sign on for another year. Everyone has resigned for 2 more years so it should be interesting to see who they kill off. At least we get to see the plane crash on this one before, just wont know who lives till Sept.

- I was slow to get into GA, but now I look forward to it. I wasn't around during the Mer/Der sexual tension build up, so I never got tied in because of the romance. I just like lots of ongoing story arcs with a big cast like this. I only ever eached a couple of seasons of NCIS in reruns, and it was good. - I finally watched the DH finale. It wasn't what I expected, everyone ending up moving away to live successful lives. I loved the final gesture of Mrs MacCluskey taking the blame for the murder. Just reading a Castle fanfict and I wonder if what the directors/writers did with this romance will be an example to other "Powers that Be" that it can be done and be done right. I hope DPB looks at this series and the success to come and realizes how much he screwed up. - I think when a show does the romance so well, and gives the viewers good stuff along the way, there is no need for fanfic. Imo, the reason JAG ff was so prolific and successful, is because there were so many gaps to fill. Forget gaps, there were giant chasms to fill. Even after it was all over, we all felt the need to complete the story. Right now, I wouldn't be remotely interested in Castle ff. The writers have given me what I need in spades.   - I don't agree that there is no need for fanfic. I think even a show like Castle that gives us so much interaction between the leads, there's still always moments you'd like to see that they can't all cover on TV, or continuations you want to explore etc. I think when a show captures the hearts so much, people want more!         I was shocked that they handled the pregnancy like that, particularly as they'd been so sensitive in building up the warmth and sexual tension. I don't hate Bones. I just keep forgetting about it. Actually, I'm going to miss House and Desperate Housewives, and I'm thanking my lucky stars for having Castle, Smash, and Person of Interest to watch.       - I know that there was a lot of contraversy about the Paraguay arc, but it did provide Mac with a reason for looking pregnant. I'm sure Bones could have done something, particularly as they use quirky humour in their writing. Lots of shows have had to handle pregnancy. But as you said, to destroy a romantic build up in one or two sentences, was a horrible decision.         Yeah I actually think it's neat that for once, they weren't going to try to gloss over the actress' pregnancy, but rather use it. What I don't like is a) that we never got to see their beginning (yes I feel cheated!), and b) now that they have the baby, they lost all steam! They're sweet but... boring!   - This is one of the reviews I didn't particularly like only because the reviewer didn't seem like he really watched the show on a regular basis. It came of a bit uppity and snarky. If the show had continued to do only as this reviewer had hoped, it would have been cancelled after two seasons - nobody is interested in characters that do not grow, and Castle has shown very consistent and believable character growth ever since that first episode.         I agree. I think the top notch writing stems from the show creator and his wife, one of the writers, absolutely love BOTH characters and are deeply invested in this show. This is their joy and passion. IMO TPTB on JAG did amply of what was done at the end to prove an ugly point to long standing fans. DB was gong to do what he wanted and screw what fans "thought" they wanted. I think in the end the fans showed him. The fans call Andrew Marlowe and his wife Terri the 'real-life Castle and Beckett' - they even played out and enacted all the scenes in "Cuffed" where Castle and Beckett were in handcuffs together, ha ha! They have absolute love for their show, their characters - and their fans!! - They put them together when they still have a lot to work out between them and in their lives. It can only take one path on screen,fanfiction is good for showing all the other little nuances paths that can be taken. Marlowe tends to write things that can be worked out one of a hundred ways. Has anyone read the Fifty Shades Trilogy yet. I can't believe that there is such controversy about these books. There are far more "chic lit" books out there that have more explicit sex scenes in them. I finished the first book and am now starting the second. I could not put it down. The book really is not about the sex (or kinky sex) but aboutthese two people who are thrown together and are trying to heal. So what does everyone else think?
