Does anyone have the hilarious article about the reporter who flew with the Blue Angels? (I think it was them.
I want to give it to someone and I cant find it.

- I remember he said the pilot looked like someone who would be named Biff. They told him to eat bananas not for the protien but because it taste the same coming up as it did going down. The last Season finals -- DOS, 08:47:53 05/22/12 Tue [2]
I watched House last night and was like this is dragging, why are they bringing back everyone in Houses life as a ghost and then they went and made it look like he was dead. I was then blown away with did they really kill off House to leave his good buddy to die alone? And then just when you thought it was true they did the he barely escaped and took off with Wilson to the sunset. I also liked the hr good bye show that came 1st.

Now to Greys Anatomy, all I could see with the 4 waiting on the rest to make that dinner with the Old Cheif was everyone waiting for Harm to make it back for Macs wedding rehearsal dinner. The people there clueless that their friends were in peril. And TPTB did a surprising thing by killing off someone very early in the show. One of the ones I liked. They say that no one can consider themselves totally safe with the new season but with everyone signed to come back it would be a real shocker to see someone else leave.

All in All I think most of the shows that I watch or just glanced at for their season or series final were pretty good this year.

- House has been my favourite show since the very first episode, and I've been a huge fan of Hugh Laurie for about 30 yrs. Before House, I rarely saw him in anything that wasn't absurd comedy. I think the writing on House was brilliant, and the last episode kept me guessing to the last moment. I'm going to miss House (the character) so much, and I'll miss the wonderfully insane/sane friendship with Wilson. Yep, loved the behind the scenes show too. I've mentioned below that I've lost interest in Bones, and really disliked the way they wrecked the ship. Last night, I saw I had 6 eps on my DVR, so decided to watch the season finale, as it had a good reviews from Theresa.

This episode made me remember why I used to like Bones. It was so interesting and well crafted, and the Bones/Booth relationship showed a great deal of tenderness. I loved Cam in this ep, and I love the way all of Bones colleagues believe in her in the face of overwhelming evidence. Now I feel bad for being so down on Bones. I'm going to play catch up, and start watching again next year. I'm hoping they get back on track, and as Theresa said, get some of the steam back.

And then there was one. Just saw that Robin Gibb died today. That leaves Barry, who is ironically the oldest, as the only surviving Bee Gee.

It's so sad to see so many icons passing on. Donna Summer just the other day, and now Robin Gibb. Such wonderful music and memories!

"Remember the Night" - an underrated, little-known classic movie -- JAG Junkie (Ronda)--who spends too much time watching old movies, 21:09:49 05/19/12 Sat [7]
I just watched the 1940 movie "Remember the Night" with Barbara Stanwyck and Fred MacMurray. This is obviously the movie that the writers had in mind when they came up with the storyline for the JAG ep where they introduced Jennifer Coates. It's too similar for it to be a coincidence.

Barbara Stanwyck plays a thief and Fred MacMurray is prosecuting her. It's Christmas, he gets a continuance but feels bad that she will have to spend Christmas in jail, so he gets her out, only she has no place to go. He is planning to go home for the holidays and they realize that she is from an area near his hometown so they decide he will drop her off on his way. After witnessing the cold reception her mother gives her, he decides to not leave her there, and takes her to his mother's house instead, where she experiences the warmth of a real family at Christmastime. Just as you would suspect, they fall in love.

As you can see this is very similar to the JAG ep "Answered Prayers", except for the falling in love part, although several fanfic writers try to put Harm and Jen together (ew!) I had been looking for this movie for a while and thought I would have to wait until Christmas for it to be aired on TV, but TCM (one of my favorite channels) actually showed it the other night so I happily set the TiVo.

Has anyone else seen this movie? It's not very well known and I'm not too sure how I even found out about it. I think it was when I was looking at Barbara Stanwyck on IMDB (one of my favorite websites). I thought I would point it out because of the obvious JAG connection.

- I think I remember this movie. Was it set in Chicago and was Fred MacMurrays character was from Indiana? If its the same, I did love this movie. I dont think they make them like they used to. Season cliffhangers -- DOS - who really enjoys the Jamie Lee Curtis/Mark Harmon interaction on NCIS. She drives him crazy, 08:55:36 05/15/12 Tue [16]
Does anyone else think that CBS has gotten a little over the top with all of their cop shows? I mean in everyone of them they have a cliffhanger where someone is being knocked off. I watch NCIS and CSI but saw that Hawaii 50, NCIS LA, and on and on where there is a major departure. I have even read that on NCIS that the final pages of the script were only handed out to those at the shoot.

The only ABC show I watch is Greys Anatomy and they are having a similar cut a cast member but I know with them that it was because 6 of the main cast had yet to sign on for another year. Everyone has resigned for 2 more years so it should be interesting to see who they kill off. At least we get to see the plane crash on this one before, just wont know who lives till Sept.

- I was slow to get into GA, but now I look forward to it. I wasn't around during the Mer/Der sexual tension build up, so I never got tied in because of the romance. I just like lots of ongoing story arcs with a big cast like this. I only ever eached a couple of seasons of NCIS in reruns, and it was good. - I finally watched the DH finale. It wasn't what I expected, everyone ending up moving away to live successful lives. I loved the final gesture of Mrs MacCluskey taking the blame for the murder. I also found it so sad when she died as the new baby was born, while her favourite song, Wonderful, Wonderful played. Loved how Lynette and Tom got back together. I'll miss this show. Had drama but hard to worry as what is the show about but Bones and the others solving crimes so figure all will be well in the end. I just don't have the emotional investment in the characters anymore as I once did.

My question Booth goes to get the car at the end and it appears to me to be a two seater and they have the baby so where the heck were they going to put the car seat.

  - I do like the characters. It's just that after the Christmas hiatus, I forgot about the show. When I got back to it, B & B were living together with a baby. I rarely if ever, find co-parenting a baby romantically exciting. Fabulous in real life, but entertaining....not so much. I realize there is more to the show than the B/B ship.   - The editor addressed the choppiness of the scene. She said it was edited for emotional impact and not flow. She said sometimes you have to sacrifice the flow of the scene to get the emotional impact you want out of it. They were going for STRONG emotions there. If anyone else noticed, Caslte looked funny when she is touching his mouth just before the body slam heard round the world. That is because they flipped the clip. - RATS! I'm sick of getting to love shows that get cancelled or shelved. Smash is wonderful. It is different from all the other shows. I love the 'behind the scenes" view and I wish audiences would give it a chance. It will upset me a lot if Smash doesn't continue, while shows like 2 1/2 men go on forever.   - Since we've gone digital in Canada, they've been running a number of prime time show early, (5, 6, 7pm) as well as in the regular time slot. So I've had very few conflicts. I catch Smash early and Castle late. Why can't they all do this? Wouldn't that better for the sponsors, if the more viewers were happy, and their shows stayed on longer? I'm just saying. Just reading a Castle fanfict and I wonder if what the directors/writers did with this romance will be an example to other "Powers that Be" that it can be done and be done right. I hope DPB looks at this series and the success to come and realizes how much he screwed up. - I think when a show does the romance so well, and gives the viewers good stuff along the way, there is no need for fanfic. Imo, the reason JAG ff was so prolific and successful, is because there were so many gaps to fill. Forget gaps, there were giant chasms to fill. Even after it was all over, we all felt the need to complete the story. Right now, I wouldn't be remotely interested in Castle ff. The writers have given me what I need in spades.         I agree. I think the top notch writing stems from the show creator and his wife, one of the writers, absolutely love BOTH characters and are deeply invested in this show. - They put them together when they still have a lot to work out between them and in their lives. It can only take one path on screen,fanfiction is good for showing all the other little nuances paths that can be taken. Marlowe tends to write things that can be worked out one of a hundred ways. Has anyone read the Fifty Shades Trilogy yet. I can't believe that there is such controversy about these books. There are far more "chic lit" books out there that have more explicit sex scenes in them. I finished the first book and am now starting the second. I could not put it down. The book really is not about the sex (or kinky sex) but aboutthese two people who are thrown together and are trying to heal. So what does everyone else think?

- I don't normally watch castle- although I love susan sullivan - After JAG I pretty much had it with the will they won't they crime fighting duos- lol- But - I did happen to catch last nights episode because a houseguest was watching it- While I was reading a book at the same time as the last few minutes- I did notice I'll be darned they didn't walk away- After all the comments y'all have made- maybe I'll watch next season. - I couldn�t develop the same passion that I had with H&M for this show but it�s still great to see that they took the plunge instead of dragging it out. Smart move and the scene was great!   - I think it was because she was hell bent on putting herself in a deadly enterprise and he would not be able to save her. He'd always had her back, but in this instance, he would be encouraging her to continue and that would have got her killed for sure. At this point, she thought he'd betrayed her by working the case behind her back. She was being stupidly reckless, and putting the other cop in danger too.         IMO and i'm probably wrong, he knew he couldnt make her do something she wasnt ready to do. It was literaaly her epiphany to have. Like he said...he's been RIGHT there all this time.         It makes sense. She told him clearly that he didn't get to interfere with her life, and she told him essentially, that loving her didn't give him that right. He had no choice but to back off. To do otherwise would have been patronizing. As you said, she had to find out for herself what was important to her. She was wrong, and she owned it.   - Oops, I thought it was Castle who pulled Beckett up but it was the other cop. Castle didn�t go to the scene. He also didn�t take her call after the graduation ceremony.     - He is supportive but knew this was a suicide mission she would not have gotten justice just killed. He could not watch that and was not capable of stopping them. I wish someone would have said this is not what her mother would have wanted for her. She would not want her daughter to obsess to the point of being reckless and not caring if she dies.       - Harm was a larger than life hero but in this case, I was thinking more about Mac supporting Harm who was the obsessed and reckless one. Cece is right, I need to remember Castle is a writer and he is not in the military or law enforcement field. I can�t compare them to H or M.         Kate wanted the truth because it was personal to her but she was willing to put aside the investigation for a year even when she didn�t know that Castle made the deal for her. She just couldn�t step away when the leads from the murder investigation fell onto her lap again. I would be disappointed if she just let the murderer go because of concern of own safety but she should have a better plan and backup in going after the bad guy. - That's a tough one. I read A lot!! "The Firm" as all ready been made into a movie and a TV show which they are cancelling much to my disappointment. Rizzole and ILLes is based on books by Tess Gerritsen a favorite author of mine. I guess I would love to see a TV series based on Heather Grahams books.
