Subject: Anyone watch Pan Am???

I REALLY think this is going to be a good show. I love the style of it, It's style reminds me of Mad Men, but its storylines arent quite so dark.

Its fast moving, funny, but there wass alot of intrigue and drama too. It seened to me to catch the hopefulness of that time, the beginnings(I mean very beginnings of independence for single women)

Maybe it was the uniforms...especially the ones the pilots wore, their covers and uniforms look alot like Navy pilots dress uniforms...sigh.

Anyone else watch?

What were your thoughts??

[> I watched the first part--right up until just before the plane took off. I love the music and clothes, but it didn't really grab me. I'm pretty resistant to new shows because I don't have time for any more shows than I've already committed to! LOL -- JAG Junkie (Ronda)--I only watched because DH had it on while I was getting ready for bed., 00:22:12 09/26/11 Mon [1]

[> I watched it for a little while, but I'm up too early for work to finish it tonight. Thank goodness for DVRs so I can catch the rest tomorrow. I don't know about JAG episodes, but I was a little shocked by the age of their pilots. Good grief. The two up front for the London route looked barely old enough to vote. LOL! I can see the "stews" being that young on a prestige flight, but not the captain and first officer. -- Dancer, 02:36:15 09/26/11 Mon [1]

[> [> I suppose you'll need to watch the whole episode, before you see the similarity in the storyline, but in Season 3's Defenseless, Harm's surprise and disapointment with just who Ensign Elizabeth Lane turned out to be(Naval Intelligence) This also made me think of CatMom, though I'm sure this era was a bit before her time. I suppose the pilots were young, though the pilot wasnt necessarily baby faced. Some guys just fly thier military obligation so they can fly commercial. where the money is...or was. -- mkim I'm cheering for this one, though I've only seen one ep. its just a nice change from what is usually on TV, 16:20:27 09/26/11 Mon [1]
