I am a Brit, albeit a displaced one. Snogging means necking or kissing in the romantic sense. You wouldn't snog a friends or family. . As mj said, a git is not a nice person, but calling someone a git is really rude. As Chris said, Sod is not a nice word, but it is very mild and wouldn't raise any eyebrows. I use it all the time, as in "I'm sodding off now," instead of "I'm going." Mild correction for Chris, lorry (or truck) is spelt with 2 Rs, not like the girl's name. Chris is also right with Pram, a short form for the very old term, Perambulator, (something you push as you walk.) -- HarmyBoard Entertainment
