Subject: And it needs that balance, it absolutely needs it. If the show had continued to do only as this reviewer had hoped, it would have been cancelled after two seasons - nobody is interested in characters that do not grow, and Castle has shown very consistent and believable character growth ever since that first episode. Leaving it at the same dynamic would merely have been cartoonish after a while, and not believable for *real* people.
In reply to: Cece 's message, "I agree with you TF. I think the article was interesting but I'm not on board with everything he says. I do think he gets Castle...the humour, the deliberate cartooning (and sometimes, lampooning), all part of the show. But where he doesn't like it when Castle gets serious, I totally love it. I love the funny/serious balance of the show." on 13:58:55 05/10/12 Thu

[> [> [> [> [> I agree. I think the top notch writing stems from the show creator and his wife, one of the writers, absolutely love BOTH characters and are deeply invested in this show. This is their joy and passion. IMO TPTB on JAG did amply of what was done at the end to prove an ugly point to long standing fans. DB was gong to do what he wanted and screw what fans "thought" they wanted. I think in the end the fans showed him. AW and staff are nothing but humble and gracious and thank the fans all the time for the success of Castle. -- TF, 15:26:46 05/10/12 Thu [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> YES! The fans call Andrew Marlowe and his wife Terri the 'real-life Castle and Beckett' - they even played out and enacted all the scenes in "Cuffed" where Castle and Beckett were in handcuffs together, ha ha! They have absolute love for their show, their characters - and their fans!! (Marlowe tweeted to his wife after "Always" aired - 'we should break out a bottle of wine, toast our fans for making it happen, and then watch them break the internet.' ha ha!) -- Colie, 15:33:35 05/10/12 Thu [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> I know. I thought it was cute that he asked her, "what do you want to do tonight?" and she was like, "I dont know. What do you want to do tonight?" haha. Lets watch our fans break Twitter. Funny thing is Castle fans tend to break twitter ALOT. LOL -- TF, 23:16:10 05/10/12 Thu [1]
