Subject: Well, in addition to this little detour, we also have the producer giving dark hints about Beckett finding out that Rick has been "protecting" her from whatever is going on with the investigation of her mother's murder. ::sigh:: It's not that all these plot points can't be interesting, but where I see them slowly circling disaster is in the writing they are not doing in these shows. They've dropped the shink Kate was going to. They've dropped the whole "voice on the phone" guy Castle was hearing from. Oops! Hit the limit (inside)

In essence, this whole second half of the season has been cast adrift (pardon the metaphor) from all the underlying arcs they were supposed to be following. And if we're not going there . . . where are we going?
